MSK “RATTLE YA’ BONES” DAY CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Rattle Ya’ Bones Day (RYBD), held annually at Halloween, is a National Day of Awareness for all muscle, bone and joint conditions. Also known as musculoskeletal conditions, they include arthritis, back pain, gout, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. This year, we are organising a Charity Golf Day where proceeds will go towards this cause.

Musculoskeletal Australia (or MSK) is a non-for-profit, consumer organisation working with, and advocating on behalf of, people with arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain, gout and over 150 other musculoskeletal conditions. MSK has once again partnered with Comfort Health Group to run this annual event to create awareness of muscle, bone and joint conditions and raise funds for MSK’s programs and services.

ABOUT RATTLE YA’ BONES DAY

RYBD aims to bring awareness to these conditions and their impact on people’s lives

Muscle, bone, and joint conditions are often downplayed as “normal wear and tear” or misunderstood as being “just aches and pains”. We know that they’re much more than that. These conditions can cause chronic, often debilitating pain, fatigue, and reduced mobility. They cause sleep deprivation, time off work, loss of employment, financial pressures and can significantly affect a person’s emotional and mental wellbeing.

However, because there’s often little visible sign of the pain and suffering caused by musculoskeletal conditions, the general population is mostly unaware of their impact.

These conditions really are invisible. Rattle Ya’ Bones Day hopes to change that!
